TL;DR – When Reacher is at his lowest is when Reacher is his most dangerous.

Reacher Review –
There is a point in a series-long arc when you can tell, ‘Oh, we have entered the end game’. Well, for this season, that time is now as forces that have been building all season start crashing into each other, and with Reacher, that is not a minor collision.
So to set the scene, with the death of their only true ally at the end of New York’s Finest, well, things have gotten personal. It is clear that the deal is about to go down, and Shane Langston (Robert Patrick) is leaving no strings attached. There are limited options left for Reacher (Alan Ritchson), but if there are dirty cops everywhere, maybe we need to start introducing some of those dirty cops to the contours of his fist. Now from here, we will be looking at the episode as a whole, so there will be [SPOILERS] ahead.

There is a lot I can talk about this week, but I found it fascinating how Reacher and Langston have started to mirror each other. Both have begun to cut all the loose ends ruthlessly, Langston to remove any obstacle to him getting his 65 million, and Reacher, who is now very much on a mission of revenge. The police captain, you can sort of explain away, but forcing a pulmonary embolism in one of the goons made uncomfortable watching.
I am becoming more and more intrigued with this drug case that they keep flashing back to. On the one hand, this works to help reinforce just how well they worked as a team back in the day. However, the more that things have gone on, the more that I think that there may be some link to the drug smuggling out of Afghanistan to their current predicament. Though while it was cool to see Reacher plough through the fence that the guy was climbing, it did feel a little odd that they did not handcuff or at least zip-tie the prisoners.

The only part of the show that felt a bit off was the end. The big reveal that they had captured some of their team off felt a bit flat, given this was something they really should have shown. This devalued the narrative moment because it felt forced rather than a natural flow of events. At this point, Langston, needs to be more of a threat than just someone who hops on a phone every now and again.
In the end, do we recommend Reacher: The Man Goes Through? Well, while the end felt a bit lacklustre. The rest of the episode was still up to the calibre that we had expected so far. If nothing else, the final moment of the episode ends with a moment that I have been wanting for a while.
