About

Overview

From movies, to TV, to Video Games and beyond, each week TL;DR Reviews will bring you all the reviews you need in one sentence, or you know the whole thing, whichever you prefer.

Each week you will get a review of the latest Movies, as well as some of the showcase TV,  some exploring of Maps, and even some Video Game content. As well as this, we will endeavour to look more deeply at certain issues with our Articles.

Our Reviewer

Our reviewer is Brian MacNamara who has a history in the fields of International Relations, Politics, Theology, and History. He also has a passion for all things Sci-Fi and Space, Post-Apocalyptic, and Fantasy related, and is totally not afraid to Ugly Cry in the cinemas.

To get to know our writer you can read about his Top 10 Films, Top 10 Animated Films, and Top 10 Video Games

AI Statement

AI is not used in the formulation of our reviews, in prompting our articles, or in the creation of images we use on the site. Where AI is used is in the editing process for the written word, where Grammarly Premium and Microsoft Copilot are employed to provide editing suggestions.

We do not permit our content to be scraped by AI or used by AI in the collection, training, or other uses for large language models or other such functions unless permission is given in writing.

Content Warning

We acknowledge the ongoing conversation around content and trigger warnings in media. While we believe viewers have a degree of responsibility to research what they engage with, especially given the availability of robust rating systems, we also understand the importance of signalling potentially distressing material to people who need it without compromising the integrity of the work or spoiling things for people who don’t.

Striking that balance is tricky. To navigate it, we’ve adopted the following approach: if a film, show, or game contains scenes involving abuse, non-consensual sexual content, or suicide themes, we’ll include a “Warning – Contains scenes that may cause distress.” tag at the top of the review.

This is an evolving space, and we welcome your thoughts. If you have suggestions or feedback, feel free to leave a comment below.
