TL;DR – We map the route Nathan Drake, and the gang took on their adventures in the quadrilogy of games.  

Mapping Uncharted –

Whenever I upload one of my maps, I ask if there is anything else people would like to map? Often, I get some excellent suggestions, and today’s is just such a case. A little birdy asked me if I could map the Uncharted video game series? Well, yes, of course, I could, and after much thought, I decided to do it in the same style as my Indiana Jones Trilogy map. You will instantly get the comparison if you have played/watched the two.

I made things a little easier to read with this map by colour-coding the four games we explored. 

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune in Red;

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves in Blue;

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in Yellow; and

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in Purple.

This was a bit of a difficult map to make because we get specific locations in the game that map to generic large areas. The East of France is a large area for a Château to be, also a ‘city’ in Nepal does not help all that much. So, much of this map is more suggestive than I would have liked, but that can’t be helped, given the subject material.

I was glad to see just how much of the world the four main-line games covered. We jump across and visit every significant continent, bar Antarctica and Oceana. I was tempted to add a sad Australia map here, but unlike James Bond and its 24 films, it is more understandable with only four games. I also tried to map Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, but besides being in India, I could not get a good sense of its locations from all the sources I read. Also I did chose not to map the Uncharted film, because, well, look you can read my review to understand that.    

I love mapping video games, so this was a fun map to make. As always, if you have any suggestions for other maps you would like to see, please let me know in the comments below.
